People prefer to buy second-hand to reduce their carbon footprint

About a recent research provided by YouGov for Shpock in UK, Steve Grice, Managing Director of Shpock UK says that, “Countless perfectly good and reusable items are thrown away every day which isn’t just harmful to the environment, but also incredibly wasteful when they could be sold on instead of piling up in landfills. However, our research shows that Brits would much rather buy and sell more second-hand items and think it’s an easier way to reduce their carbon footprint than going vegetarian or cancelling flights.”

We agreed with Mr. Grice, but overall our thoughts are in “after-covid” prospect, considering the future scenario’s which will be surely influenced by a critical phase of financial crisis and particularly into the families , which will be obliged to manage their expenses more rationally.

For that reason, if till yesterday, 1 to 5 it was inclined to buy appliances or electronics products second hand or refurbished, we can be sure that , the future will double the request.

Now. Companies are ready to catch-up that opportunity? Are aware in order to everything needs to do about it? Do companies know what’s the next steps to not lose this “business” train??
